Muslims swearing into office on the Qur’an & How that affects our Constitutional rights. Although some say it does not, swearing on the Qur’an clearly means that a person will act in accordance with the Qur’an in the constitution and avoid doing other things. But what if the country decides to oppose another Muslim country—will that person in the US office support it? The answer becomes complicated. Additionally, questions arise about human rights and women’s rights. This situation hasn’t been tested yet, but it’s a disaster waiting to happen.
